HCC has begun taking action to immediately reduce the power consumption of resources in the Schorr, PKI, and Walter Scott datacenters. Given the extreme temperatures, local utilities have put out an emergency call to reduce consumption, and in some cases have begun rolling blackouts to reduce usage.
HCC will be powering down most of its general access resources, including Crane, Rhino, and Anvil. This will mean all running and queue jobs will be stopped. While we realize this is a major inconvenience, given the extreme circumstances, the well being of the local communities must come first.

HCC has begun restoring systems to normal operation. Jobs that were running at the time of the outage should be checked and will likely need to be resubmitted. Jobs that were queued should have survived intact, but all users are encouraged to double-check the state of their jobs. Please note that wait times may be longer than usual until the backlog of jobs subsides. Jobs may also briefly enter held states or show a different status than usual before completing. Please allow 24 hours for the queue to stabilize before contacting support about a job's status.
