HCC Open On Demand and Web Downtime

    Starting July 14th (Tuesday) at 12:00 AM Central, Swan's Open OnDemand portal and other HCC web based services will be unavailable for approximately 12 hours and returning to service later in the day at 12 PM Central on Tuesday, July 14th.


    This maintenance period is for electrical updates at the UNL city campus. This maintenance will not affect jobs running on Swan.


    The following resources will be affected by this maintenance downtime: - Swan Open OnDemand - Globus - MyHCC Portal - HCC Website

    Starting May 12th (Tuesday) at 8 AM Central, the Swan cluster will be unavailable for approximately 3 days and returning to service on May 14th by 5PM Central.

    This maintenance work is to update underlying software on HCC resources and supporting infrastructure. To make sure that no tasks or jobs accidentally run during this period, a reservation has been set on Swan starting May 12th (Tuesday) at 8 AM Central.

    If you try to submit a task or job, but it stays in line or queue with the status labeled as 'Reservation,' it means it's intentionally held there (https://hcc.unl.edu/docs/faq/#why-is-my-job-is-showing-reqnodenotavail-reserved-for-maintenance-before-a-downtime).

    This holding prevents it from running during the maintenance period and then getting canceled.

    For those using HCC's Swan resource, it is strongly suggested to have a copy of any files you may need from Swan during this time in another location.

    The following resources will be affected by this maintenance downtime: - Swan - Swan Open OnDemand - Attic - Globus collections (Attic, NRDStor, NUOneDrive, Swan file systems).
